Welcome!

The Prince George District Teachers' Association (PGDTA), is a union of professionals that represents approximately 1000 teachers in Prince George, Mackenzie, McBride and Valemount within School No. District 57. The PGDTA is a local of the British Columbia Teachers' Federation (BCTF - local 571). The PGDTA represents all members regarding terms and conditions of employment in School No. District 57. We respectfully acknowledge that the PGDTA office is located on the unceded, ancestral lands of the Lheidli T'enneh. We are grateful to support the members of the PGDTA who work on the unceded ancestral lands of the Lheidli T'enneh, McLeod Lake and Simpcw peoples.

We work to promote the welfare of teachers in School No. District 57 Prince George. We are committed to promoting the cause of public education, fostering effective teaching and learning conditions for the profession, and strengthening positive learning environments for students.

Today parents and public are more informed regarding the real situation in Public Education. We must all continue to advocate and pressure government to fully invest in the education of children in British Columbia. Together we will hold government accountable for their lack of investment in the children of our province, and raise our voices to advocate for BC children.
